The Registrar separates review of an applicant from the confirmation of a teaching place.

Application and advice

Record the intended programme, preparation and available study time. Applicants may request certificate study, visiting study or a review of prior learning. An adviser identifies the appropriate starting courses; a submitted form does not establish that an instructor or crew is available.

Offer and acceptance

An offer states the instructor, course sequence, agreed sessions, preparation and equipment arrangements. Record acceptance before confirming registration. Changes to the plan require agreement; a change in the published residential calendar does not create a new commitment for a community participant.

Deferral and withdrawal

A participant may request deferral or withdrawal when circumstances change. Preserve completed assessments and identify what must be revisited on return. Do not label an interrupted game session as academic failure merely because the exercise could not be completed.

Completion

Enter the result with its evidence and assessor. A certificate records completed Academy work. Commissions, command permissions and membership of another organization require decisions by the offices responsible for them.
